Service is the concept that comes
closest to the heart of the Christian life.
Whether it is performing the simplest acts of charity or
organizing complex mission trips, self-giving love should be evident
in the life of every believer.
The Serve Team provides opportunities for individuals and
groups to give of their time, talent, and resources in ways that
reflect the love that God has shown to each of us.
From ministering to children in Mexico to raising funds
for local charities, the Serve Team’s main goal is to see
that life is made better by the judicious use of the unique gifts
that God has given to each and every person.
We live by the motto, “before you can feed someone’s spirit,
it wise to feed their body.”
Often , the words you speak can only be heard when the
rumbling of the stomach or the chattering of teeth has ceased.
The ministry of First Methodist is to the whole person.
The Serve Team is where this ideal is put into practice.
